Bihar has good infrastructural base, favourable Agro-climatic conditions for seed production, which has developed very fast since last two decades. Seed Production of most of the crops at a relatively lower cost because of higher yields per unit in almost all the seasons can be done when compared to other States.

To consolidate and further improve quality seed production in the State and with a view to effectively implement the National Seed Project in Bihar, the BRBN Ltd a public Limited Company was incorporated on July,18 1978 under the Second National Seed Project established under the Companies Act 1956 by the Govt. of India the financial assistance of India Govt.
